RTIP Students Get a Hands-On Lesson in Digital Tattooing from TRPB's Teena Appleby

Teena Appleby, TRPB's Operations & Investigations Technician, visited with the Advanced Regulation and the Racetrack Operations classes where she provided the students a primer on how digital tattoos are performed. The classes were held at UArizona's Al-Marah Equine Center.
The students got a first-hand look at the many different criteria that the tattoo technician must confirm in order for the racehorse tattoo to be accepted. The students were then able to digitally tattoo "Tank", one of the RTIP’s 3-year-olds.
