Full Day of Insightful Workshops to Kick Off the 2025 Global Symposium on Racing

The 2025 Global Symposium on Racing will break from the gate Monday, December 8, with a dynamic, first-of-its-kind day of interactive workshops and specialized training sessions designed to equip racing professionals with the latest tools, strategies, and knowledge to shape the sport’s future.

From the opening sessions to the evening networking reception, attendees can explore topics spanning technology, management, regulation, wagering integrity, equine science, and racing history. The 5th Annual Racing Secretary Summit will bring together racing secretaries and stakeholders to discuss shared challenges and innovative solutions.

Later, Calm, Clear, Credible: Responding When Racing’s Under Fire Media Training Workshop (pre-registration required) will provide immersive training to help industry representatives communicate effectively during challenging moments. The spotlight then shifts to wagering integrity in Tote Q&A: Data Safety, Security, and the Future of Racing Wagers, followed by Systems Biomechanics of the Horse: Advancing Equine Athletic Research, showcasing advancements in equine performance science.

The Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority / Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit Workshop will discuss uniform integrity and safety rules, while The Racetracks of America: From the Pre-Civil War Days to the 21st Century offers a fascinating look at racing’s historical evolution. The day will conclude with the Opening Networking Reception in the Exhibit Area - an ideal setting to connect with peers, exchange insights, and lay the groundwork for the next two full days of thought-provoking panel sessions to follow.
